Upper Leg Pain

Upper leg pain can cause discomfort like aching pain or burning pain.  It can be due to back pain or lower leg pain which can be radiculopathy or referred pain.

Upper leg pain, also known as thigh pain, can stem from various causes, ranging from muscle strain to more serious underlying conditions. Here are some common causes of upper leg pain and tips for managing it:

Muscle Strain or Overuse: Activities that involve repetitive movements or sudden exertion, such as running, jumping, or lifting heavy objects, can strain the muscles in the upper leg. Rest, ice packs, compression, and elevation (RICE protocol) can help alleviate pain and inflammation.

Hamstring Injury: The hamstrings are a group of muscles located on the back of the thigh. Straining or tearing these muscles, often due to sudden movements or overstretching, can cause pain, swelling, and bruising.
